Internships are challenging opportunities for aspiring international development practitioners. The internship programme of RAF Global has its genesis in the belief that INGOs have a progressive role to play towards creating a new brigade of competent international development professionals with deep exposure to field realities. It also aids RAF Global’s overall approach to shared learning and intellectual growth. RAF Global has been successfully running an internship programme for aspiring professionals from Asia and Africa in its various country offices, since 2015. In the last five years, students from a wide range of international universities have endeavoured to apply their passion and knowledge in diverse field settings, in support of our mission and further derive new learning insights.
The students come with an open mindset and a demanding ToR and are encouraged to undertake a wide range of participatory research studies as well as field action, as a part of their academic requirement. In the process, the interns generate the embodiment of new knowledge, skills and insight, which they go on to employ in the course of their advanced studies and professional work in future.

Before you send us the application, take the time to go through our website and learn about RAF Global’s international work, methodology and approach to working. International interns are advised to read about travel to and life in the countries, including any advisories issued by their own governments and visa formalities before applying for an internship.
The internship requires an extended period of stay in field locations depending upon the subject/theme of the internship. These locations are often remote and interns should be prepared to stay in places with bare minimal facilities. We would also recommend interns familiarise themselves with the basic pleasantries and the customs of Mozambique while applying for their internship. This would make the learning experience more enriching and rewarding too.

RAF Global provides engaging, meaningful and rewarding volunteering opportunities across Asia and Africa. RAF Global engages volunteers from different backgrounds with a diverse range of skills and experience in various aspects of programme management and organisational development. Volunteering placements are offered in the fields of health, education, livelihoods, agriculture, civil society and governance in both in-field as well as virtual formats. Besides these, volunteers are engaged in a wide range of events and campaigns organised by the RAF Global Mozambique Country Office. Depending upon skills and competency, the volunteer opportunities are also extended to the various spheres of project management, including database management, technical assistance, monitoring and evaluation, systems development, etc.
