As part of its sustainable livelihood programme, RAF Global in D.R.Congo implements programmes in vocational trades for skilling women and youth and also provides seed capital support to them for starting commercial activities independently. The support ranges from providing sewing machines, tools and materials for tailoring, beauty care & wellness, art & crafts, electrical work and carpentry. As a result of this support and handholding of graduates of the vocational trades, a total of 218 micro enterprises were born during the period January 2023 to June 2023, and many more are in the pipeline. They offer stable self- employment opportunity to women and youth in the communes of Nsele, Selembao, Mont Ngafula, Kimbanseke and other areas too.
