218 Micro Enterprises in RAF Global project areas bring Hope and Livelihood to Women and Youth in the Kinshasa province

As part of its sustainable livelihood programme, RAF Global in D.R.Congo implements programmes in vocational trades for skilling women and youth and also provides seed capital support to them for starting commercial activities independently. The support ranges from providing sewing machines, tools and materials for tailoring, beauty care & wellness, art & crafts, electrical work and carpentry. As a result of this support and handholding of graduates of the vocational trades, a total of 218 micro enterprises were born during the period January 2023 to June 2023, and many more are in the pipeline. They offer stable self- employment opportunity to women and youth in the communes of Nsele, Selembao, Mont Ngafula, Kimbanseke and other areas too.

41,900 people are benefitting from RAF Global constructed water tanks in the Kinshasa province

RAF Global in D.R.Congo has improved the access of safe drinking to a significant 41,900 rural inhabitants of Nsele, Selembao, Mont Ngafula and Kimbanseke during the period, January 2023 to June 2023. Made possible by the generosity of our esteemed donors both institutional and individual, the construction of water tanks is an important intervention of RAF Global in the area of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene promotion, under the broader theme of Health and Nutrition Initiatives.The community asset shall address the water needs of deserving areas for at least 5-7 years. The upkeep of the water tanks will be done by the benefiting communities and it will be a free, protected resource accessible to all, without any user fee.
